What is the minimum donation amount?
The minimum amount a donor can make to our campaign is €5. This minimum donation amount is due to the processing fees applied to each donation.
For example, GoFundMe deducts 5% on all donations. Our US and Canadian payment processor (WePay) also deducts 2.9% + $0.30 on all donations. If someone were to donate $1.99 to you, the fees would be $0.10 + $0.06 + $0.30 = $0.46. That's almost 25% of the total donation!
However, if someone donates $5.00, the fees come out to $0.25 + $0.15 + $0.30 = $0.70, which is only 14% of the total donation. It's a much smaller chunk of the donation and will ultimately helps raise more money.

Will GoFundMe charge me any fees?
GoFundMe will automatically deduct a 5% fee from each donation you give to any project. Donors are never charged fees.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Donations made to a GoFundMe Personal campaign are generally considered to be personal gifts and are not guaranteed to be tax-deductible. You'll need to consult with a tax professional in your area to see if your donation is eligible to claim as a tax deduction.

How do I make my donation anonymous?
If you haven't donated yet, make sure to check this option on the first step of the donation screen:
If you've already donated, check your email inbox for a GoFundMe donation receipt. There's an option to make your donation anonymous from there!
Please note that the person you donate to will always be able to see your name and comment (if you left one)
